What Is Nines
Competitive golf, redesigned for busy lives.
Nines is a flexible, midweek 9-hole golf league. It’s for golfers who want real competition, new playing partners, and more golf, without giving up their weekends or family life.
Serious golf. Less time. No faff.
How it works
Serious golf. Less time. No faff.
Nines Gives You:
A reason to play every week
A leaderboard that rewards a consistent season
A chance to compete with and against your friends
A chance to meet and play with local golfers
A short format that fits real life
Why Nines is Different
A different local course every week
Play anytime that suits you, before work, after work, or late Sunday
9-hole rounds, designed to be played in around 2 hours
Open to all golfers, across handicaps and budgets
One connected leaderboard bringing Bristol golfers together
*If you’re looking for a five-hour Saturday morning tee time, whispered fairways,
strict dress codes, and taking it all very seriously… this probably isn’t for you.
Nines is competitive, social, and relaxed, built for real life.
Leaderboard
Sunday means leaderboard day. Check to see where you stand, who's rising, who's crumbling, and who’s already “looking ahead to next season”

Pre League Meetup
Before the league starts, we’ll meet on 11th April.
We’ll:
Run through the format
Meet other players
Watch some of The Masters
Have a drink
Golf’s better when you know who you’re playing with.

Points
Stableford Scoring over 9 Holes
In the spirit of Nines, the 9th hole is double Stableford points (a chance to make or break your round.)
For one week only you can play you're double points chip. Before teeing off, delcare the chip has been played, and you're round will be doubled! Talk about make or breaking your season!
Nines Playing Rules
If you find your ball in a divot on the fairway, pick and place it. Fairness first. In the rough, play it as it lies.
To keep things moving and fit busy lives, fast play is encouraged (rounds within 2 hours): no provisionals. Just agree with your group and drop where it entered (within two club lengths, don’t take the p**s).
If you’re out of the scoring on a hole, just simply pick up, mark as no score, and move on.
Cheating Policy
Golf is built on trust, integrity and self-reliance to play by the rules. We have a zero tolerance for cheating of any kind. Anyone caught cheating will be banned from this and all future Nines seasons.
This is competitive golf, but it is meant to be fun. Play fair, enjoy yourself, and most importantly, do not be a d***.
